WHY WE ARE SEEKING VIEWS

The standard and end point assessment plan were first published in July 2020. It is essential standards are revised regularly to make sure the apprenticeship reflects the occupation and is meeting the needs of

  • employers
  • learners
  • training providers
  • assessment organisations

WHAT IS AN OCCUPATIONAL STANDARD

An occupational standard describes the knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs) needed for someone to be occupational competent in the occupation’s duties.

WHAT IS END POINT ASSESSMENT

All apprentices must take an independent assessment at the end of their training to confirm that they have achieved occupational competence.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

We will consider your responses as we gather evidence to inform the revision of the Data Technician standard and end point assessment plan.
