Withdrawal of approval from technical qualifications
We will consider the following when deciding whether to withdraw approval:
concerns that the approved qualification no longer meets the approvals criteria for the relevant categories of qualification
Level 2 and 3 qualifications, not including T Levels
HTQs
concerns that the approved qualification no longer complies with our relevant terms and conditions (terms and conditions for application and approval of HTQs)
the retirement of a recognised occupation and or standard on the occupational maps...

Level 3 – Occupational-entry technical qualifications – 16 to 19 and adult
For DfE funding decisions to be made, applicants will also be required to provide (within the form) evidence of demand for the qualification from colleges and other training organisations that have a ESFA funding agreement.
Qualifications within this Category do not require submission of a proposal prior to development.

IfATE, which follows guidance from thousands of large and small employers on their training needs to develop and update all government apprenticeships in England, over-delivered by reviewing 127, including many resulting in significant funding uplifts. These are collectively used by over 60,000 apprentices per year.
