Engineer 100,000th to pass apprenticeship

The 100,000th[i] person to pass their apprenticeship is a 20-year-old engineer from the North East of England.Tests for apprentices, known as end point assessments, were first introduced in 2017.

Major review launches for Agriculture, Environment and Animal Care apprenticeships

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (the Institute) has launched a review of apprenticeships for Agriculture, Environment and Animal Care.Apprenticeships under review include Arborist, Forest Operative, Golf Greenkeeper, Horticulture and Landscape Operative, and Sports Turf Operative.

Record number of apprenticeships to be reviewed in Engineering and Manufacturing sector

The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (the Institute) has launched a wide-ranging review of technical education provision for Engineering and Manufacturing.A total of 59 apprenticeships are included in the review, the most by far of any Route Review conducted by the Institute so far.

Background
The level 2 Business Administration Framework is due to be “switched off” on 31 July 2020. From 1 August 2020, this Framework will no longer be available for employers to use.

Congratulations to pioneering students on first ever T Level results day!

The first T Level students have received their results today alongside those finding out about their A levels.
T Levels are the government’s new gold standard technical qualifications for young people aged 16 to19 available in a range of subjects including construction, engineering, digital, education and childcare as well as health and science.
