- About the Institute
What’s it like to work for the Institute for Apprenticeships?
The Institute for Apprenticeships is a new, employer-led organisation with an independent chair who leads a board of employers, business leaders and their representatives to ensure employers continue to drive apprenticeship quality to the highest level.
We are a crown, non-departmental public body of approximately 80 staff based in London and Coventry, sponsored by the Department for Education. The Institute was established by the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009 as amended by the Enterprise Act 2016.
Working for the Institute will be an exciting experience as we are a “start-up” organisation so you will have the opportunity to play an integral part in helping to shape the Institute so it meets the needs of employers and businesses. Our staff come from many different backgrounds and bring a hugely rich, yet diverse, set of skills and talents.
