Our digital route panel chair is moving to a new role. We’re looking for an equally outstanding individual to continue the important work in this route.

As chair of the panel, you’ll play a vital part in helping to shape the technical education landscape so that:

  • businesses, small and large, can secure the digital skills they need to grow and thrive
  • people from all backgrounds have access to the digital career opportunities they deserve

You’ll lead and shape the work of the expert employers who sit on our digital panel. They make sure that apprenticeships and technical qualifications match workplace realties. That means that individuals and employers in the digital sector have the opportunities they need to succeed.

What is the role of route panels?

Route panels meet every eight weeks to:

  • review the development of apprenticeships and technical qualifications for their sectors
  • provide a strategic view of sector needs
  • help shape our approach to meeting new and emerging skills needs

What are we looking for?

Like all our members, you’ll have a track record of achievement in your profession. You'll also have the expert knowledge and experience to offer a real-world view of skills needs in the digital sector. We don't expect you to be a training expert. But you will need to have an appreciation of the kind of training and development best suited to building occupational skills.

Importantly, you’ll be an accomplished leader. You’ll have the strategic mindset needed to see the bigger picture. And the credibility and authority to win trust and harness the collective wisdom and insights of diverse panel members. You'll also have an unflinching focus on quality.

To apply, you’ll need to be an employee or employer currently working in the sector – or recently held this status.

We pay a small fee to route panel chairs for attending and leading panel meetings. We also reimburse all reasonable travel and subsistence expenses.
