Product Assurance Committee
The purpose of the Product Assurance Committee (PAC) is to monitor and report that IfATE’s products (Occupational Maps, Apprenticeships, end-point assessments, funding bands, T Levels, HTQs and Post 16 Qualifications (at Levels 2 and 3)) are meeting the needs of employers, apprentices and other stakeholders, with a particular focus on quality and impact.

'Quality' keynote speech from Institute chief executive

We plan to learn from the success of increasing quality in employer-led apprenticeships, by ensuring that technical qualifications at level 2 and 3, T Levels and Higher Technical Qualifications all meet the training needs specified by employers in a common set of occupational standards.”
Jennifer added the Institute will in future want the number of qualifications to follow employer demand.

Apprentice induction
It would be a good opportunity to introduce the apprentice to the Occupational Maps at IfATE where they will find information about the standards and progression routes for their apprenticeship.

Parliamentary launch for IfATE’s Simpler Skills System report

We are also officially launching new occupational maps, which will be important for making the plan work, making it easier than ever to check out options to train for a job then progress to senior skills levels on tablets and mobile phones.
Through IfATE’s Big Conversation with over 2,000 employers and skills users last year, IfATE heard that the skills system is still too complex to understand and difficult to navigate.
