  • New Medical Doctor Degree Apprenticeship launched, delivering a more representative workforce for local communities

    19 July 2022 People wanting to train as a doctor could achieve their degree by an apprenticeship route from September 2023, which aims to widen access and participation in undergraduate medical education and deliver better care to patients through a diverse workforce that is more representative of local communities. The Medical Doctor Degree Apprenticeship involves the same training, at the same high standard as traditional educational routes.

  • Apprenticeship will train people to install life-saving healthcare equipment

    10 June 2021 Eileen Bayles, regional training and development manager at Northern & Yorkshire NHS Assessment Centre, said: “The healthcare engineering technicians have been crucial in the fight against COVID-19, helping doctors and nurses ensure that equipment and buildings are safe and maintained in the correct way.
